Who we are

Information we collect

Information you send us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number and message.
Booking information. Consultations are scheduled through Calendly. Calendly collects the details you enter when booking (for example, name, email, phone, time and your answers to its questions) and shares them with us. Calendly’s own privacy policy governs its processing.
On-page tools. Calculators and quizzes on this site use the answers you enter to show you a result. We do not ask for your name or email in these tools.
Usage information. Like most websites, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, and our host Squarespace uses cookies, to understand how visitors use the site (for example, pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived). This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

How we use information

We use information to respond to your inquiries, schedule and prepare for consultations, evaluate potential conflicts of interest, operate and improve the website, and comply with legal and professional obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and our practice, such as Squarespace (website hosting and forms), Google (analytics) and Calendly (scheduling), or when the law or a court order requires it.

Confidentiality

Sending us information through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information until we have agreed in writing to represent you. Information we receive in a consultation is treated in accordance with the Puerto Rico rules of professional conduct.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and booking information as long as needed for the purposes above, including conflict checks, and as required by law and professional rules. Analytics data is kept according to the providers’ standard retention settings.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information you sent us by writing to hans@riefkohllaw.com, subject to our legal and professional record-keeping duties.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
